Job Description

Kandu, Inc. is pioneering an integrated approach to stroke recovery by combining FDA-cleared brain-computer interface technology with personalized telehealth services. Our IpsiHand® device is durable medical equipment that enables chronic stroke survivors to regain upper extremity function with daily home use. Combining this advanced technology with the support of expert clinicians offers a comprehensive path to recovery-helping survivors improve mobility, independence, and quality of life. Position Summary The Part-Time Clinical Liaison serves as a key bridge between healthcare providers, stroke survivors, and Kandu, Inc.'s internal teams, ensuring seamless coordination throughout the recovery journey. This role builds and maintains strong partnerships with hospitals, providers, and care teams, supports patient onboarding and education, and drives adoption of Kandu, Inc.'s technology-enabled solutions, including product education and screenings. By facilitating referrals, improving workflows, and delivering hands-on support, the Clinical Liaison directly contributes to client success and patient engagement. Overall, the role plays a critical part in expanding access to care, enhancing recovery outcomes, and advancing Kandu, Inc.'s mission to improve quality of life for stroke survivors. The Liaison serves as a regional liaison between our clients (providers, hospital, post acute care partners) and stroke survivors. This role supports commercial team activities by identifying and establishing relationships with referring providers and facilities, conducting IpsiHand product education, and inservice support to healthcare providers, rehabilitation teams, and patients. •
CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCATED IN THE JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA AREA
What You'll Do:
Focus on short and long term success of our clients through understanding of client and Kandu partnership goals, building trusted relationships with providers, client care team, providing regular feedback on referral, registration process and results, and understanding the local landscape regarding expansion partner opportunities. Serve as a regional liaison between our clients (providers, hospital, post acute care partners) and stroke survivors early in their recovery journey. Support commercial team activities by providing IpsiHand medical device education and in-service support to healthcare providers, rehabilitation teams, and patients. Identify and execute on IpsiHand medical device screening day opportunities, including planning, targeted outreach, client and patient scheduling, completing screenings, and patient follow-up. Conduct EEG screenings, in person. For navigation services, support referral, registration, and enrollment workflows by reviewing hospital patient census, triaging appropriate referrals, and aligning with discharge planning. For navigation services, conduct in-hospital and post-acute meetings with new Kandu referrals to educate patients and care partners, obtain consent and insurance information, and schedule appointments. Provide feedback on non-enrollment trends, improvements to referral and onboarding workflows, and message testing. Represent Kandu, Inc. at community-based outreach events, collect new leads, and communicate opportunities to leadership. Participate in client status calls and meetings, and act as SME on registration process and data. Travel daily to partner sites, with up to 40% national travel required. Facility credentialing may be required - may include TB testing: drug testing; proof of COVID vaccination, MMR vaccination, Hepatitis B vaccination, varicella (chicken pox) vaccination, and other testing as required by client site. Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned. Responsibilities may be adjusted periodically to align with organizational priorities, business needs, and company growth. What You'll Bring Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), Physical Therapist (PT/DPT), Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in good standing At least 4-6 yrs direct customer service experience required 2-4 years experience in a healthcare setting required 2-4 years medical device, healthcare, or digital health sales experience required Communication skills, ability to adapt communication based on audience Experience with health plan benefits and eligibility Ability to adapt approach and methods to achieve results in dynamic environments Strong comfort level with technology Must have reliable transportation (personal vehicle) Committed to product knowledge and willingness to learn Ability to present information succinctly and effectively Preferred Qualifications 2-4 years experience serving stroke survivors and families preferred Physical Demands Ability to sit for extended periods at a computer and use standard office equipment. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds Manual dexterity for typing and computer use Work Environment Hospitals, Clinics, Rehab Facilities / Remote Open to overnight travel Local daily travel to partner sites Willing to work early evening schedule Travel Requirements 40% overnight travel required Compliance & Regulatory Responsibilities Adhere to all applicable quality and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO) Follow company SOPs, policies, and procedures Participate in audits and inspections as required Maintain accurate and complete documentation
Work Environment:
Local daily travel to partner sites Willing to work flexible hours (which may include early mornings or late afternoons).
What We Offer:
