Position Summary The Audiology Coordinator will support the audiology department by coordinating administrative functions, patient scheduling, and ensuring seamless communication between audiologists, patients, and other healthcare providers. This role is essential in maintaining efficient operations and delivering exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of audiologists' time. Greet patients and assist with check-in/check-out processes. Collect and verify patient information, including medical histories and insurance details. Manage audiology department's administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records. Coordinate with insurance companies for authorization and billing purposes. Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory of audiology supplies and equipment. Serve as a liaison between audiologists, patients, and other healthcare providers. Address patient inquiries and provide information regarding audiology services. Ensure effective communication within the department and with external parties. Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with healthcare regulations. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency. Monitor patient feedback and work with the team to address any issues or concerns. Support audiologists in preparing for patient appointments, including setting up equipment and organizing patient files. Assist in the implementation of office policies and procedures to streamline operations. Contribute to the development of marketing materials and community outreach programs.
