Starting salary:
$58,816 - $64,006 The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The starting salary range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Pay Grade:
AJ Job Summary Recruit, advise and support students in credit CTE programs and student transitioning from non-credit to credit programs. Essential Functions Develop and implement existing and future initiatives, with a focus on enrolling and retaining students in special populations. Support recruitment and retention efforts for assigned high-need CTE pathways and programs. Work collaboratively with Workforce Training Academy, Continuing Education, DMACC Business Resources, Secondary Programs, Academic Affairs, and other college programs and committees. Advise students in all phases of career and academic planning, including program and course information, scheduling, registration, transfer requirements, articulations with other educational institutions and graduation requirements. Advise, coordinate and refer students with specific learning needs regarding the identification and utilization of support services to assist in student success. Assist students in connecting to community resources as necessary. Assist students in identifying goals, developing career pathways, and providing career guidance in order to achieve successful transitions to post-secondary education, training and/or employment. Provide case management for clients including case notes and all other necessary documentation and electronic case updates including, but not limited to, enrollment, and application forms, employment plans, educational plans and registrations. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Two years of advising, recruitment, promotions, admissions or related experience in an educational setting (Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling, Academic Advising, or related field can substitute for one year of experience). Knowledge of current college educational and student services procedures and practices. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to prepare and deliver public presentations. Ability to plan, organize and manage time. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from varied backgrounds. Knowledge of current software applications. Desired Qualifications Master's degree. Postsecondary education at a community college. Work experience with an educational institution. Work experience in an associated industry: Agriculture, Advanced Manufacturing, Business, Health, Information Technology, or Transportation/Logistics.
