You'll connect individuals with research studies, clinical care, education, and technology while building strong relationships with community partners and referral clinics throughout Iowa. You'll also play a key role in helping our research team identify potential study participants and ensuring patients feel supported from the first conversation through their care journey. Monday - Friday from 8am - 4:30pm. Finding a team member that could possibly work 1-2 days a week from 12pm-7pm would be ideal. What You Bring to the Team Required qualifications and skills: High school diploma or equivalent At least 2 years of customer service experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Comfort speaking with patients by phone and in person Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite Ability to manage multiple tasks and track patient interactions accurately Preferred qualifications and skills: Phone sales or outreach experience Experience working in a healthcare environment Understanding of diabetes and medical terminology How You'll Make a Difference Identify and connect with potential research participants using screening tools and medical record review. Collaborate with the Clinical Research team to recruit eligible patients for clinical studies. Respond to calls and inquiries from patients interested in Iowa Diabetes services. Guide patients toward the services that best meet their needs, including research, clinic care, education, or technology programs. Assist patients with scheduling appointments and tracking interactions within internal systems. Educate patients on the benefits of the Iowa Diabetes patient portal and EMR connection. Help patients sign up for services and answer questions to encourage continued engagement. Build and maintain relationships with partner clinics, referral sources, and community organizations. Coordinate and participate in community outreach events such as health fairs and patient support groups. Maintain and update marketing contacts and patient recruitment databases. Assist leadership with special projects and initiatives as needed.
