PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
To assist with patient complaints at the Cashier window or phone. Act as back up for all unit positions, as needed. Assist with various computer software testing, research and resolve problems in the Cashier Unit and handle special projects as assigned. This position will assist in the training of new employees within the Cashier Unit. This position requires you to travel between hospitals.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Three Years Hospital/Medical business office setting experience Financial Counseling experience required Spanish Speaking preferred Prior experience with benefits/precert, Medicaid applications, Charity programs, balancing of cash drawers and preparation of bank deposits preferred Intermediate to Advanced level of proficient with MS outlook, Word, Excel and other computer system applications. Must be proficient with a 10 key calculator, detail oriented with a good numeric aptitude and typing skills of 35 wpm with accuracy. Excellent problem solving, organization and analytical skills Ability to work independently and multi-task while working in a collaborative, team environment with a positive attitude Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work under deadlines Ability and willingness to travel across the system to multiple sites on a regular basis Certified Indiana Navigator training and certification preferred. Certification must be completed within 6 months of hire.
