Care Advocate Minneapolis, MN Job Details $24 - $27 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications HIPAA Customer inquiry handling Case management Medical terminology Full Job Description Advocacy Specialist The Opportunity We are seeking a highly organized and member-focused Advocacy Specialist to join the Care Management team at HealthEZ. In this role, you will serve as a key advocate for members and clients, delivering high-touch, concierge-level support while ensuring efficient coordination across medical management services. What You'll Do Deliver concierge-level service to members by providing personalized support and guidance throughout their healthcare experience Serve as a primary point of contact for members, ensuring exceptional customer service and timely resolution of inquiries Collaborate with vendors and members to address medical management requests and questions accurately and efficiently Initiate and maintain authorized case management files in compliance with internal processes Open, track, and monitor advocacy cases to ensure proper follow-up and resolution Partner with Medical Management staff to support process improvements and achieve departmental goals Provide administrative and operational support to case managers, the Clinical Director, and broader Medical Management team Monitor and manage shared inboxes (Intake, Medical Management, Advocacy) to ensure timely communication and task completion Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of medical management programs across the department Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership What We Expect from You Associate's degree or Medical Assistant certification preferred Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA regulations 3+ years of customer service or direct client-facing experience Strong knowledge of medical terminology with the ability to accurately interpret medical records Prior experience with care management processes, preferably within a health plan environment Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Preferred experience working with prescription benefits and pharmacy-related programs Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service
