Job Description:
The New Patient Liaison is responsible for performing the intake of new patient referrals from multiple sources for Tennessee Oncology Clinics.
New patient intake includes:
triaging the severity of diagnosis, scheduling intake with patient, performing new patient intake phone communication, record retrieval, communication with referring physicians, and scheduling first appointment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Answers incoming new patient calls, enter demographic and insurance pre-registration information; maintains contact with new patients via multiple methods (mailing new patient packets, electronic communication / email, callbacks, Requests, collects, documents and assesses all appropriate records to ensure patient has been scheduled properly and all necessary records have been obtained for evaluation in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Ensures referring physicians have received communication regarding the new patient visit C0mmunicate with outside entities to obtain new patient medical history records when appropriate. Communicates with team members, clinic staff and referring Provider offices. Coordinates with Clinic staff to schedule new patient appointments Additional responsibilities may be assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
HS Diploma required Advanced PC skills with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft products including Word and Excel Prefer experience in healthcare, customer service Prefer experience with
