Job Description
Gifford is seeking a Patient Relations & Experience Specialist to serve as primary contact for patient and family feedback, coordinate surveys, provide patient advocacy and support, assist with policy and process oversight, and maintain data tracking and reporting for complaints, grievances, and resolutions. This role ensures that concerns are addressed respectfully, promptly, and in compliance with federal and state regulations, including requirements set by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This position supports a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement. The role oversees the patient grievance process, supports patient experience surveys, and works with departments across the organization to improve communication and care practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Communications, Social Work, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) 3-5 years of experience in healthcare, patient relations, or customer service in a regulated environment preferred Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to manage emotionally sensitive situations professionally Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and data reporting tools preferred Demonstrated understanding of patient rights, healthcare privacy laws, and quality improvement principles Gifford Health Care offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
