In this vital role, you will assist medical staff by providing essential support in patient care, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and ensuring smooth surgery center operations. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will help create a positive experience for patients, visitors, and staff alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic ASC setting. Key Responsibilities Clean and disinfect stretchers, wheelchairs, and patient transport equipment between uses Maintain cleanliness and organization of OR support areas, hallways, and supply zones Restock linens, supplies, and non-sterile items as directed Assist with patient lifting and transfers using safe body mechanics and approved equipment Respond promptly to staff requests for transport or support services Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance) Assist with turnover between surgical cases when needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous healthcare, hospital, or ASC experience preferred but not required Basic understanding of infection control and patient safety principles Ability to safely lift, push, and pull patients and equipment (up to 50+ lbs with assistance) Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-turnover surgical environment Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain Preferred Skills Experience in a surgical or hospital setting (transport, EVS, or nursing assistant roles) Familiarity with medical terminology Ability to follow directions and prioritize tasks quickly Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting Ability to transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher Exposure to clinical environments, including OR and recovery areas Must be able to wear required PPE and follow infection control protocols Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting Ability to transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher Exposure to clinical environments, including OR and recovery areas Must be able to wear required PPE and follow infection control protocols This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their healthcare career while making a tangible difference.
