In this vital role, you will provide continuous supervision and support to patients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being. Your energetic and attentive approach will help create a secure environment that promotes healing and peace of mind for both patients and their families. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in patient care within a dynamic hospital setting, emphasizing safety, empathy, and professionalism. Duties Maintain close observation of assigned patients to prevent falls, injuries, or other safety hazards. Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, helping reduce anxiety and promote comfort. Assist with basic activities of daily living such as repositioning patients, providing hydration, or helping with mobility as directed by nursing staff. Monitor patient behavior and report any changes or concerns promptly to the healthcare team. Support hospital staff by facilitating communication between patients and medical personnel. Ensure patient safety by adhering to hospital protocols and infection control procedures at all times. Document observations accurately in patient records to ensure seamless care coordination. Requirements Prior experience in home & community care or hospital environments is highly desirable. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to respond effectively during emergencies. Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care with patience and attentiveness. Experience working in hospital settings or critical care transport is a plus. Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize subtle changes in patient condition. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients for extended periods while maintaining a positive attitude.
