Full Job Description Overview:
Performs diagnostic procedure including ECG, Pulse Oximetry, Rhythm Strips, and 24 hour Holter Monitor hook-up. Hook-ups and assists with Stress Testing and processing Respiratory Equipment as needed. Processes job related paperwork. Enters charges for procedures performed. Assist in timely and safe supply processing, and distribution of equipment. Ability to work flexible hours/shifts, inclusive of weekends and holidays. Attention to detail as it pertains to patients, procedures, equipment and supplies
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
HS graduate or equivalent. Completion of EKG course preferred. Experience in performing EKG, 24 Holter and event monitoring desired. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Aptitude to work with mechanical devices.
Skills and Specific Job Knowledge:
. Effective verbal and written skills. An ability and willingness to function under the direction of the RCA Supervisor an ALP to meet patient care needs in a dynamic work environment. An ability and willingness to work with patients of all ages and developmental needs. An ability and willingness to work with patients experiencing acute, chronic, and complex disease processes, including those that are terminally ill. A positive attitude towards healthcare team members and diverse patient populations. Evidence of good physical and emotional health.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:
Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose
NOTE:
A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or University of Florida Health automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form at the time a RFP is submitted to post the position.
