Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to safely operate patient transport equipment such as wheelchairs. Basic knowledge of hospital safety and infection control procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and to stand or walk for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in patient transport or a healthcare environment. Customer service experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

Transport patients safely to and from the Xray and radiology departments, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled imaging procedures. Assist patients with mobility challenges, including those using wheelchairs, stretchers, or other assistive devices. Communicate effectively with nursing staff, radiology technicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient transport schedules. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of transport equipment such as wheelchairs. Adhere to all office safety protocols, infection control procedures, and patient privacy regulations during transport.

The required skills are utilized daily to ensure patients are transported safely and comfortably, requiring strong interpersonal communication to interact with patients and healthcare staff effectively.
