Job Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for transport of Deaconess patients as dispatched by the Centralized Patient Throughput team, Case management, and/or the Support Services Manager. Other duties and tasks as assigned by the Support Services Manager in compliance with all regulatory standards as applicable to their job duties with the focus on the hospital's mission and demonstrating the hospital's values. Performs transport of patients to and from hospital to assigned destination Performs transport of patients within the confines of the hospital. Operates vehicle and patient lift safely and efficiently. Adheres to hospital dress code. Understands and follows all safety rules and regulations on and off the road. Assists in maintaining accurate patient-related information within the software system. Demonstrates good body mechanics in all tasks performed. Participates in cross training, orientation of new staff, competency assessment and ongoing training of new staff. Attends staff meetings
Requirements:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent. Valid driver's license with clean driving record/MVR report.
