Job Description

Under the direction of a RN, contributes to the Hospital's mission by providing a safeguard for our at-risk patients by monitoring the stay and keeping the nurse informed. This non-clinical staff position will have an impact on patient safety by minimizing falls and harm to self.
Assists in the patient's meal and nourishment, by setting up trays, feeding the patientand/or assisting the patient in eating.
Engages patients and family members in conversation and provides basic emotionalsupport.
Assists patients in the set up of personal and oral hygiene needs and dressing.
Keeps the room clean and tidy to improve the patient's and family member's experience.

Adolescent, adult and geriatricJOB FUNCTIONSAs part of the Patient Care Services team, this position performs the following tasks under the direction of aRN:
Watches over patients that have been designated as a risk-to-self. Assists patients with walking. Effectively communicates with all members of the patient care team throughout the shiftand completes a thorough and comprehensive handoff with the other Patient SafetyAssociates and RNs.Assists in the patient's meal and nourishment, by setting up trays, feeding the patientand/or assisting the patient in eating.

Pay Range:
$18.00 - $24.23The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
