RADIOLOGY SPECIALIST
Summary
JOB SUMMARY
Join our Imaging team as a Radiology Specialist , where you will play an important role in supporting patient care and departmental operations. In this role, you will assist Imaging staff, transport patients safely throughout the hospital, and help ensure a smooth and efficient experience across imaging services. As a valued member of the patient care team, you will support patients and clinical staff while maintaining a safe, compassionate, and team-oriented environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Imaging staff and function as an aide to support departmental operations Safely transport patients to imaging modalities, excluding MRI, using established patient safety standards Assist with moving and positioning patients to and from imaging equipment Operate transportation and support equipment including stretchers, wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, wall oxygen, and computers Coordinate patient transports using worklists and tracking boards Ensure transportation equipment is maintained and in good working condition Identify equipment needing repair and notify appropriate personnel Verify patient identity using two patient identifiers in accordance with patient safety standards Support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered imaging environment
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED preferred Less than one year of healthcare, patient transport, or related experience required Computer skills required to coordinate patient transports and workflow Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Ability to safely assist with patient movement and transportation activities
