Patient Transport

Job Overview Job Overview Fairview is looking for a Patient Transport person to join our team at our University of MN Medical Center East Bank Campus in Minneapolis, MN. The patient transport person is responsible for assisting in the transfer and transport of patients and will work in a collaborative environment so that the goals and objectives of treatment are achieved. Patient transport will assist as needed with the physical move, lift, transfer and transport patients on the hospital premises in a timely, efficient, customer service-oriented manner.

Hours:

1.0 FTE 230pm - 1100pm with e/o weekend 230pm - 1100pm Responsibilities Responsible for safe physical transfer and transport of patients throughout the University Campus. Maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness to assure prompt patient delivery. Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of safety protocols, infection control standards and emergency preparedness. Ensure patient satisfaction by providing prompt and timely responses to all transport related tasks. Provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, and all members of the medical team. Utilize provided technology to accurately record Transport data. Continuously works to improve interpersonal skills and relationships. Communicates continuously with team members, medical staff and dispatch.
