Safety Attendant

What We Offer The Safety Attendant provides one-on-one observation of selected patients for the purpose of identifying behaviors which are potentially hazardous to self or others in accordance with facility policies and procedures; reports needs and concerns to licensed nurse.

6:45am - 7:15pm, DAY Shift, Full-Time (Shift Differential)

High school or GED required.

Experience:

Previous hospital experience preferred. Licensure/certification/registration (required) De-Escalation Techniques (within 90 days of employment) Life Support Responder (within 90 days of employment) Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) Training (within 90 days after completion of De-Escalation Training) Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing as applicable. Is knowledgeable regarding guidelines for infection control, body substance precautions, patient safety, and body mechanics. Maintains acceptable standards set by those guidelines.
