Job Details Responsibilities:
  • Transports patients to and from the patient care unit in a safe manner.
  • Assists patients on and off x-ray table and in and out of bed as required.
  • Transfers patients in and out of wheelchair as required.
  • Provides for patient comfort and safety during transport.
  • Assures integrity of all indwelling catheters during transport.
  • Alerts nursing personnel when patients leaves or is returned to unit.
  • Maintains and practices proper body mechanics.
  • Demonstrates ability in the care and handling of patients in all age groups including, but not limited to, consideration of the special needs and behavior of each respective group.
  • Demonstrates appropriate communication method according to age and/or disability.
  • Maintains established departmental/hospital policies and procedures for quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED or relevant experience is required.
  • One to two years' experience in an acute care facility preferred.
  • BLS Certification required (American Heart Association ) Posted Salary Range USD $25.
59 - USD $25.59 /Hr. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
