Job Title:
Durable Medical Equipment Tracker Unit:

AMC Position Summary:
Responsible for the timely delivery, cleaning, tracking, and maintenance of all durable medical equipment. Stocks, distributes, and maintains supplies for medical/surgical, critical care and pediatric code carts. Maintains and tracks the distribution of patient wound vacs. Ensures that units have adequate numbers of various equipment to perform proper patient care duties.
Essential Duties & Functions:
1. Tracks used equipment, instrumentation, etc. and maintains adequate supply throughout hospital units and departments 2. Delivers equipment, instrumentation, supplies, etc. to units in need. 3. Tracks and delivers code carts throughout the entire hospital, including all patient care areas (inpatient and outpatient areas). 4. Tracks and maintains wound vac locations/usage and logs proper patient information to ensure accurate billing. 5. Cleans and wipes down patient equipment, including but not limited to, poles, pumps, channels, code carts, walkers, feeding pumps, seizure pads, etc. 6. Ensures proper transportation of clean and or soiled instruments/equipment, etc. 7. Provides customer service skills to internal staff, as well as any patients, visitors, etc. 8. Ensures product expiration dates are within date before stocking. 9. Performs multiple daily rounds on all units to ensure proper equipment stock is maintained, as well as collecting any used and/or soiled equipment/instrumentation.

Knowledge/Skills:
Β§ Knowledge of the hospital setting, infection control, and medical terminology is highly desired. Β§ Computer skills and experience is preferred. Β§ Great interpersonal/social skills.
