Job Description

Shift is EO weekend 2p-10:30p Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Patient Transporter, where your energetic and compassionate approach will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient patient movement within our medical facilities. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from various departments, supporting patient care teams, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Your efforts will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient experiences and supporting the overall operation of our healthcare services. This paid position offers an engaging opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, rewarding setting. Responsibilities Safely transport patients between departments, rooms, diagnostic areas, and treatment facilities while prioritizing patient comfort and safety Assist patients with mobility needs, including transfers from beds to wheelchairs or stretchers, ensuring proper handling techniques Support clinical staff by providing timely movement of specimens, medical equipment, and supplies as needed Maintain clear communication with healthcare teams regarding patient status and transport schedules to ensure seamless coordination Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of mobility aids and adherence to infection control procedures Keep transport carts and equipment clean, organized, and ready for use at all times Document transport activities accurately in relevant logs or electronic health records when required Experience Previous experience in home & community care or hospital settings is highly preferred Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to handle emergency situations effectively Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care with attention to dignity and comfort Familiarity with hospital operations and critical care transport enhances your effectiveness in this role Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams are essential This position is ideal for individuals eager to make a positive impact on patient well-being while gaining valuable experience in healthcare environments. Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
