Clean and sanitize patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and public spaces. Complete work assignments efficiently and within designated timeframes. Use appropriate cleaning agents and supplies in accordance with safety and procedural guidelines. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment properly and safely. Adhere to patient confidentiality protocols at all times. Provide directions and assistance to visitors when requested. Introduce self to patients, families, and visitors to foster a welcoming environment. Identify and report safety hazards promptly. Safely transport trash and hazardous waste to designated disposal areas. Restock cleaning and hygiene supplies as needed. Follow infection control procedures, including proper hand hygiene and isolation protocols. Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives. Maintain established quality standards in all cleaning activities. Work assigned shifts, including day, evening, or night, as scheduled. Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Observe and follow all safety precautions consistently. Professional Responsibility Adhere to dress code; maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance. Wear proper identification while on duty and accurately use the timekeeping system. Report to work on time and complete tasks within scheduled timeframes. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all privacy regulations. Uphold all regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the role. Demonstrate ethical behavior in accordance with organizational policies. Communicate and embody the mission, values, and goals of the facility. Foster positive working relationships with physicians, staff, and health plan representatives. Represent the organization professionally within the facility and in the community. Assist and communicate respectfully with patients, families, and visitors. Attend required departmental in-services and annual reviews. Participate in a minimum of 60% staff meetings annually (as scheduled). Complete all required annual education and training. Actively engage in performance improvement initiatives. Demonstrate accountability and independence in daily responsibilities. Support a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
Education:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience:
