Patient Transporter

In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients, ensuring a smooth flow of movement for diagnostic procedures, admissions, discharges, transfers, and appointments outside the facility. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for patients and support clinical teams in delivering exceptional care. Responsibilities Safely transport patients. Assist patients with mobility needs, including those with limited movement or special care requirements. Maintain clear communication with clinical staff to coordinate patient transfers efficiently and accurately. Ensure all transport activities comply with safety protocols and infection control standards. Provide compassionate support to patients during transport, offering reassurance and comfort as needed. Keep detailed records of patient movements and report any incidents or concerns promptly to supervisors. Requirements Previous experience in healthcare is preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care with empathy and professionalism. Strong communication skills to coordinate with medical teams and support patient needs. Good driving record and the ability to drive long distances as well as operate a 12-passenger van. Knowledge of infection control practices and safety procedures within healthcare facilities.
