Recreation Instructor - Teen Room

The City of Goodyear is seeking a highly motivated individual to work as Recreation Instructor

• Teen Room at the Goodyear Recreation Center.

This position will oversee the use of the teen center and provide a fun experience for our youth audience (focused on 8-18 years), supervise teen events, and connect with participants. This is a part-time position, and the ideal candidate will possess good customer service and communication skills, be positive and friendly, and be willing to assist in a variety of Goodyear Recreation Center operational areas. • Adaptability Minimum one-year experience in customer service preferred Strong communication skills Must be able to instruct with sounds principles Ability to speak and communicate in large and small groups with poise and enthusiasm Supervise participants in programs and design programming as required Respond to questions and aid facility users Maintain cleanliness of the facility and equipment Event and program set-up and take down Event and program set-up and take down Enforce all rules on a consistent basis Handle disputes in a professional manner Maintain a safe work environment, report all problems with facility or equipment to a supervisor
