We are seeking a Yoga and Ayurvedic Instructor to play a vital role in our holistic philosophy. You will work alongside our medical providers to offer patients a comprehensive approach to health that addresses the body, mind, and spirit. By combining therapeutic yoga with Ayurvedic lifestyle principles, you will help our patients manage stress, improve physical function, and achieve long-term metabolic health.
Duties Integrated Instruction:
Lead yoga sessions tailored to patients with varying needs, including chronic pain management, weight optimisation, and stress reduction.Ayurvedic Consultations:
Conduct assessments to identify a patient's Dosha (constitution) and provide personalised lifestyle and nutritional guidance that complements their medical treatment plan.Collaborative Care:
Work closely with our primary care doctors and nurses to ensure yoga and Ayurvedic practices are safely integrated with the patient's clinical goals, such as hormonal or metabolic balance.Patient Education:
Teach the "food as medicine" philosophy, educating patients on how Ayurvedic nutrition and mindful movement can support their specific health journey.Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of patient progress within our integrated care system to ensure seamless communication across the medical team. Requirements Proven experience teaching yoga at various levels with certification from a recognized institution. Strong knowledge of Ayurveda principles, including dosha types, dietary recommendations, and herbal therapies. Familiarity with physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics essential for safe instruction and injury prevention. Experience in program design for group fitness classes or personal training sessions. Background in disciplines such as Pilates, CrossFit, cycling, or dancing is advantageous for creating diverse movement offerings. Excellent teaching skills with the ability to motivate and connect with clients from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of health club operations and experience in fitness sales is preferred but not mandatory.
