Job Description
Who We Are Own It Fitness is a personal training studio in Fremont, CA offering both 1-on-1 personal training and semi-private coaching for busy professionals who want real results—fat loss, strength, energy, and sustainable lifestyle change. Our model combines individualized programming, structured coaching, and strong accountability to help clients produce measurable transformation. We are not a commercial fitness facility. We treat you as a valued member of our team, taking the time to invest in you through mentorship and continuing education. Our team currently includes four active coaches and a developing trainer , and we are expanding to meet growing demand. We are hiring two professional coaches who are ready to operate at a high standard and contribute to a performance-driven team. We don't sell sessions. We build disciplined, confident, high-performing clients. Our studio culture reflects that same standard. The Client Experience Clients often say that when they walk into Own It Fitness, the environment feels different from other training studios they've experienced. Our sessions are not random workouts or trendy exercises. Every client follows a structured training program designed around their goals, movement ability, and lifestyle . We track progress through structured programming, performance metrics, progress photos, and InBody scans. The result is a coaching experience that feels organized, professional, and personalized from the moment the session begins. Our coaches are responsible for delivering that experience every day.

What You'll Own As a Personal Trainer at Own It Fitness, you will own: Client transformation outcomes Long-term client relationships and retention Customized programming rooted in sound training principles Accurate progress tracking using Trainerize High-energy coaching sessions that motivate clients and drive results Professional communication and accountability coaching Contributing to a performance-driven coaching culture This role carries real responsibility. Our clients trust us with their health, and we take that seriously. Outcomes You'll Produce Success in this role includes: Delivering measurable client progress Maintaining strong client retention Creating structured sessions that drive results Holding clients accountable to their commitments Maintaining accurate documentation and professional standards Contributing to studio growth and client success Performance is supported—and it is measured. Required Qualifications Accredited Personal Training Certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, etc.) OR Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Public Health, or related field Ability to work the following shifts: Monday-Friday 7:00am-12:00pm and 3:00pm-8:00pm. Saturday 7am-1pm. Willingness to work evenings and occasional weekends Strong communication and interpersonal skills High level of accountability and reliability Ability to train clients of varying ages and fitness backgrounds Comfort delivering both in-person and virtual training Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of personal training experience Experience coaching 1-on-1 and semi-private training environments Comfort managing multiple clients simultaneously Experience using Trainerize or similar coaching software Demonstrated ability to motivate clients during challenging sessions Physical Requirements Ability to lift weights, squat, bend, reach, and spot clients Prolonged standing and walking Indoor training facility with occasional outdoor sessions This Role Is NOT For You If You resist feedback or struggle with coachability You prefer low-accountability environments You are uncomfortable tracking metrics and client progress You are not committed to continuous professional growth You want a low-expectation job without performance standards You avoid holding clients accountable when conversations become uncomfortable We are building a high-standard coaching environment.
