This role is ideal for instructors looking to supplement their current teaching schedule while maintaining flexibility. As a Per Diem Instructor, you may be contacted to teach classes when coverage is needed due to instructor illness, emergencies, vacations, schedule changes, or increased demand. Instructors accepted into our coverage pool are compensated with a $50 flat rate per class and may receive compensation in advance to reserve availability for scheduled coverage periods. This position is offered as an Independent Contractor (1099) role and does not include guaranteed hours or a regular teaching schedule. Responsibilities Lead safe, effective, and engaging Pilates classes for clients of varying fitness levels. Provide clear instruction, modifications, and corrections while maintaining a positive class environment. Utilize knowledge of anatomy, body mechanics, and movement principles to ensure client safety and success. Arrive prepared and on time for assigned classes. Maintain studio cleanliness and organization before and after class. Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for all clients. Adapt quickly to different class formats, student abilities, and studio needs. Serve as a dependable substitute instructor for last-minute coverage requests. Qualifications Current Pilates Certification required. Prior experience teaching Pilates in a studio, gym, or boutique fitness environment preferred. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, posture, and movement mechanics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to confidently teach clients of all ages and fitness levels. Professional, dependable, and responsive to scheduling requests. Additional certifications in Yoga, Personal Training, Barre, Mobility, Functional Fitness, or Group Fitness are a plus.
