Yoga Instructor for Older Adults Rooted Rehabilitation provides clients with quality therapy and wellness services. We connect our partner agencies to the top therapists, instructors, and trainers to achieve efficient and effective goal-oriented results for our clients.Job Summary:
Rooted Rehabilitations is currently seeking a self-motivated and compassionate Aerobics Instructor to deliver premier excellence of care and is enthusiastic about working with older adults in a senior living community.Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead group yoga sessions by implementing effective teaching methods, giving equal attention to all participants.
- Responsible for administering professional and effective program-specific skills according to course description.
- Address members who are not performing exercises correctly by demonstrating proper form and techniques.
- Develop positive relationships with participants and provide motivational support and guidance to support members in their healthy living goals.
- Respond promptly and courteously to all member inquiries/needs.
- Set up and monitor class equipment, ensuring equipment remains in working condition. Report all equipment repair needs to the supervisor immediately.
- Advise participants on program and class procedures and policies, as appropriate.
- Complete additional reports on class/participant progress as required
Qualifications and Skills:
- 200-hr RYT (Register Yoga Teacher) certification or higher
- Minimum of 1 year experience teaching yoga
- Experience teaching yoga to older adults preferred
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check
- CPR/AED certification required
- Bilingual is a plus! Job Details
