Zumba Instructor for Older Adults Rooted Rehabilitation provides clients with quality therapy and wellness services. We connect our partner agencies to the top therapists, instructors, and trainers to achieve efficient and effective goal-oriented results for our clients.Job Summary:
Rooted Rehabilitations is currently seeking a self-motivated and compassionate Zumba Instructor to deliver premier excellence of care and is enthusiastic about working with older adults in a senior living community.Responsibilities:
- Plan, lead, and deliver high-energy Zumba classes that create a fun, engaging, and inclusive fitness experience for participants of all fitness levels.
- Demonstrate and teach Zumba choreography and movement techniques while providing clear, motivating instruction throughout each class.
- Address members who are not performing exercises correctly by demonstrating proper form and techniques.
- Develop positive relationships with participants and provide motivational support and guidance to support members in their healthy living goals.
- Respond promptly and courteously to all member inquiries/needs.
- Set up and monitor class equipment, ensuring equipment remains in working condition. Report all equipment repair needs to the supervisor immediately.
- Promote class participation and educate members on Zumba program offerings, class schedules, facility policies, and wellness initiatives.
- Complete additional reports on class/participant progress as required
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching Zumba or dance-based group fitness classes preferred- Strong communication skills, dependable punctuality, and a vibrant, crowd-pleasing teaching style
- Experience teaching Zumba to older adults preferred
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Current Zumba® Certification and/or recognized Group Fitness Certification (ACE, AFAA, NASM, etc.)
- Valid driver's license
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check
- CPR/AED certification required
- Bilingual is a plus! Job Details
