In this role, you will lead engaging yoga sessions geared for individuals in mostly seated postures for improved mobility and overall well-being. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment that encourages movement, confidence, and a positive attitude toward health. Duties Deliver dynamic chair yoga classes that incorporate principles of physiology, body mechanics, and anatomy to maximize safety and effectiveness Teach with a lively, upbeat, friendly vibe, focusing on gentle stretching, breathing techniques, balance, and relaxation strategies suitable for all fitness levels Adapt poses and sequences to accommodate participants with limited mobility or specific health conditions while maintaining engagement and motivation Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation, social interaction, and personal progress Monitor participant safety throughout sessions, providing modifications as needed to prevent injury or discomfort Qualifications Experience teaching chair yoga or related group fitness classes with a focus on accessibility and inclusivity. Positive, cheerful energy is essential A basic understanding of physiology, anatomy, body mechanics, and how they relate to safe movement practices in seated positions Familiarity with working with Seniors a plus Certification in yoga instruction preferred but not required/training available Excellent teaching skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups while maintaining clear communication Passion for promoting health through holistic approaches that include physical activity and mental well-being Join us in making a meaningful difference by guiding folks over 65 toward healthier lives through engaging chair yoga sessions!
