$30•$70 per hour (Base Rate of Pay + Piece Rate for Pilates Services Delivered); Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay depends on factors including site location, specialty, certifications, work experience, and other business needs. Role and Responsibilities The Pilates Instructor is responsible for teaching and coaches groups or individuals in the fitness program referred to as Pilates. An instructor helps the students use Pilates to promote overall health, improve muscle tone and strength, and achieve better posture. Specific Responsibilities Essential Functions The Pilates Instructor is to provide quality Pilates Instruction and service to all clients. The Pilates Instructor is to be available to all clients if not involved in a 1-on-1 session or doing specific administrative tasks. Assist members in using safe and effective exercise form during their Workouts. Administer emergency care to members and guests in need of assistance Work as a TEAM with all other departments Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor Other Functions Support, teach, and encourage members to meet their fitness goals. To be actively involved in promoting the Pilates studio. The studio equipment is to be cleaned and checked for safety once a week. Be knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered by Active Wellness Promote club services and activities Perform routine maintenance of Pilates equipment Assist with keeping the club well stocked and clean Attend Active Wellness site meetings and trainings Handle injury and illness and security incident reporting Qualifications Qualifications and Education Requirements Requires a pleasant personality and good communication skills, as instructors have to spend a good deal with other people and convey instructions clearly. Likewise, they heed a talent for motivating others and showing their own passion for physical fitness.
