AED Certification Full Job Description Personal Trainer Mission:
FIT is looking for experienced, enthusiastic, reliable fitness professionals to join our team. You will train clients one-on-one and in small groups. Basic Requirements Minimum of 3 years personal training experience Strong knowledge of physiology and body mechanics with a mastery of exercise technique and safety Fitness certification from an approved education company such as ACSM, ACE, NASM, NCSA, AFFA, or NFPT Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification Must be available for morning and evening shifts Must be able to safely lift and move 40 pounds or more Compensation for training ranges from $32 - $38/hour based on fitness education, experience, type of training (personal training, group classes, etc.) and performance.

FIT is an independently-owned, boutique fitness studio located in the Mission Hills neighborhood of San Diego, CA. We offer 1:1 and small group personal training as well as small group HIIT and strength training classes. Our studio provides a personalized experience focused on customer service. While we specialize in clients 40 years and older, our clientele range in age from 18 - 82. Clients come to
Mission:
FIT with varying degrees of fitness knowledge and experience; from absolute beginners to people who have been athletic most of their lives. As a Personal Trainer / Fitness Professional you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting our clients toward achieving their fitness goals while fostering a safe, positive and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities Work with each client to understand and record their current fitness level, health history, long-term fitness goals, injuries and limitations. Design a training program that uses appropriate exercises and load. Provide hands-on instruction and guidance during training sessions to ensure clients perform exercises safely and effectively, while maintaining proper form and technique. Ensure safety of members in regards to heart rate, weight load, form, and exercise technique Energize and motivate members throughout the session Monitor client progress and adjust workout plans as needed to ensure continued improvement, safety, and goal attainment. Always keep the door open for clients to share injuries, ask questions, and express concerns. Discuss the importance of nutrition, hydration, recovery, and lifestyle habits that complement their fitness goals. Review goals and progress with client every 8 - 10 weeks and offer ideas for updating their training program Maintain a clean and organized training space, including equipment setup and sanitization, to ensure a safe and inviting environment for clients. Check-in clients using the
