  • Part-time Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Postnatal Yoga Instructor to lead our Baby & Me classes while helping shape the growth of our postpartum and birthwork offerings.
This role is ideal for a yoga instructor who is also a doula, birthworker, or deeply aligned with maternal wellness and trauma-informed care. The Baby & Me class focuses on gentle movement, core and pelvic floor recovery, bonding, and community support during the postpartum period. The ideal candidate is confident holding space for both infants and caregivers, and committed to trauma-informed, responsive teaching practices that honor the diverse experiences of postpartum individuals. Responsibilities Lead Baby & Me yoga classes that are safe, engaging, and supportive for postpartum bodies Incorporate postnatal recovery elements including breathwork, pelvic floor awareness, and gentle strengthening Apply trauma-informed and responsive teaching practices, prioritizing consent, autonomy, and emotional safety Create a welcoming, judgment-free environment for new mothers and caregivers Facilitate bonding between parent and baby Offer modifications and hands-on support only with clear consent Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing studio environment Required Qualifications Postnatal Yoga Certification (required) Current Infant CPR Certification (required) Demonstrated training or experience in trauma-informed and/or responsive teaching Experience teaching yoga classes (preferably postnatal, gentle, or restorative yoga) Preferred Qualifications Doula certification or birthworker training Background in infant care, early childhood development, or maternal health Experience working directly with postpartum families Strong understanding of physical and emotional postpartum recovery Ideal Candidate Warm, patient, and deeply compassionate Skilled in holding space with sensitivity to trauma, identity, and lived experience Confident supporting both babies and caregivers with flexibility and presence Passionate about community-building and maternal wellness Aligned with holistic, intuitive, and consent-based approaches to healing Schedule & Compensation Part-time position with opportunity to expand hours as the program and community grow Competitive hourly rate based on experience Strong opportunity for growth within Bloom Yoga, including additional classes, private sessions, workshops, and community events Opportunity to be part of the expansion of Bloom's birthwork and postpartum support offerings , with potential to grow into roles in prenatal yoga, childbirth education, doula-aligned services, and holistic maternal wellness programming How to Apply Please submit your resume, certifications, and a brief description of your teaching style, including your approach to trauma-informed care and experience working with postpartum clients.
