SCHEDULE

We're looking for a knowledgeable and motivating Personal Trainer who is passionate about helping individuals reach their goals in a safe, encouraging, and inclusive environment. What You'll Do As a YMCA Personal Trainer, you will: Conduct fitness assessments and goal-setting sessions Design safe, effective, and individualized workout programs Provide one-on-one coaching and motivation Monitor progress and adjust programming as needed Build strong, professional relationships with members Promote safe equipment use and proper technique Model YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility You're not just delivering workouts — you're building confidence and accountability. What We're Looking For You're a great fit if you: Hold a nationally recognized Personal Training certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA, etc.) Are CPR/AED certified Have strong communication and interpersonal skills Can build rapport with clients of diverse ages and abilities Are self-motivated and professional Experience working with special populations, beginners, or active older adults is a plus. POSITION SUMMARY
The Personal Trainer, working as part of the Wellness Center team within Community Integrated Health and Lifestyle Medicine Department, will deliver world-class customer service and relationship building skills to create a welcoming environment. The Personal Trainer will demonstrate experience in providing instruction on strength and cardiovascular equipment while developing exercise programs to meet the needs of each member's health and wellness goals. The incumbent will also exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of their work with the

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Communicate with members, recommend workout enhancements and correcting form as needed Provide equipment and strength orientations, adhere to Lifestyle Medicine Department guidelines Ensure safety, cleanliness and maintenance of facilities, grounds and equipment to minimize risk to members, participants and the Association Provide one-on-one training and small group training sessions to meet the needs of members Follow all YMCA procedures and policies, personnel guidelines, safety guidelines, facility access procedures and membership policies. Carry out emergency plans as necessary Administer off-site personal training sessions for corporate partners as necessary Attend and remain current on all mandatory training and staff meetings Accurately maintain records and ensure proper tracking of client information Ensure the safety and enjoyment of all members and guests in our facility

QUALIFICATIONS
Obtain YMCA Orientation to Healthy Living within 90 days of hire via online course Must have YMCA Instructor Training or one of the approved National Certifications at least 104 hours of documented teaching experience Current CPR certification and Standard First Aid certification
