  • Provides Wellness Center support through monitoring of weight room, new member orientations, customer service and facility maintenance and assisting at front desk. Adheres to Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare.
  • Job Responsibilities
  • + Supervises the weight room and monitors the membership sign-in log to ensure active memberships + Monitors for safe use of equipment, intervening and educating members as needed + Enforces Wellness Center policies and procedures + Offers tips and suggestions to help members improve their exercise programs + Provides orientations to new members + Completes orientation packets + Teaches proper use of all equipment + Tours new and prospective members, educating them on the facility and available services + Answers telephones and responds to member questions + Directs concerns appropriately + Compiles client satisfaction surveys + Processes sales for memberships, gift certificates, and merchandise + Cleans wood flooring + Cleans and organizes hand weights, mats, and steps + Cleans weight and cardiovascular equipment + Ensures equipment is in proper working order + Monitors linens and ensures sufficient supplies are available for members + Greets all Wellness Center members + Makes regular rounds to support and interact with members + Promotes sales of Wellness Center products and services + Adheres to all safety, infection control, and employee health policies and procedures + Attends required safety programs + Consistently and appropriately uses required personal protective equipment (PPE) + Demonstrates knowledge of departmental emergency procedures, including fire and disaster response + Identifies, reports, and removes unsafe equipment or furniture + Requests assistance when needed to ensure a safe environment for all + Maintains safe working habits and a safe work environment •Required Education•+ High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) - preferred •Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities•+ Basic language, math, and reasoning skills + Basic personal computer skills + Ability to convey a positive image and build positive relationships + Ability to work with diverse groups of people + Ability to manage multiple tasks + Ability to read, write, and understand the English language + Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians while performing job duties •Certification / Licensure Required•+ Basic Life Support (BLS) + Mandatory Reporter •Our Commitment•Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
