Job Description

Under the supervision of the Health and Wellness Director the Personal Trainer will design a personal and individualized wellness program for the member he/she is working with. The Personal Trainer will represent the Old Colony Y in a positive, professional manner resulting in friendly, convenient and courteous service. The Personal Trainer will be responsible for providing individualized service suited for the member's personal needs and goals. Associate/Bachelor Degree in exercise science or related field, or national certification (ACE, ACSM, AFAA, NASM, NSCA). Previous practical and relevant experience in the field. Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications. Obtain additional required YMCA certifications/other certifications as needed. Ability to bend, kneel, move, or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, move, carry 45 lbs.; and ability to occasionally lift, move, carry weights in excess of 45lbs. alone or with assistance.
