92 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications CPR Certification First Aid Certification Certified Fitness Instructor AED Certification Full Job Description Scheduled Hours 10 Position Summary WashU's Division of Student Affairs seeks a fitness professional for the position of Fitness Instructor II. The Division of Student Affairs advances the educational mission of the university through resources and experiences outside the classroom that prepare our students for lifelong success. The Fitness Instructor is responsible for guiding group fitness classes that vary in format and levels. Must hold a valid certification in Pilates, Pilates Reformer, Pilates Chair, Yoga, and/or Intermediate/Advanced Training Methodology.
Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides fitness instruction at assigned facility. Promotes knowledge of proper group fitness components, i.e., warm up, aerobic exercise, flexibility, cool down, proper form and alignment, etc. Motivates and instructs participants through exercises and routines. Prepares workouts/choreography for fitness classes. Serves as an advocate for fitness and healthy lifestyles at WashU. Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to identify and correct participant technique. Ability to offer exercise modifications. Advanced knowledge in techniques and dynamics of basic group fitness and specialty classes. Have an interest in inspiring all recreation participants to build habits of wellness.
