What is needed for this job: One of the following: National Group Fitness certification, yoga certification, Spin cycle certification, Pilates certification, Les Mills certification Personal Trainer Certification (NASM, ACE, ISSA, etc.) with strong knowledge of exercise science, techniques, nutrition, and injury prevention Ability to develop individualized and group fitness programs Team player with a commanding, positive presence and passion for connecting with members, aiding wellness, and building relationships The ability to adapt your class/style for the members in front of you The responsibilities we will trust you with: Finding new and engaging ways to connect with our members during class Instructing an effective, safe class for all abilities in the gym Willing and able to serve as a substitute for fellow instructors To be proud to wear your Y gear and be an advocate for us What you can expect: To be a part of a fun, diverse team For your supervisor to be your biggest supporter To have hundreds of class options to teach Flexibility that works around your life YMCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer All Qualified Women, Minorities, Persons with Disabilities, and US Veterans Encouraged to Apply After reading this, if you're thinking this is great
