Job Description

Job Overview:
The right instructor for this role has a comprehensive certification, a genuine command of the full apparatus, and a teaching practice that goes deeper than cueing from memory. Powerhaus Pilates is a boutique studio in Dublin, Ohio committed to traditional Pilates methodology across the complete system: Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Barrels, and small accessories, with semi-private group equipment classes intentionally capped at four. If that sounds like the environment you have been looking for, we would like to hear from you. The Opportunity We are looking for instructors to teach Powerhaus semi-private group equipment classes and private lessons. This is the core of the role. With a maximum of four clients per class, you are not managing a room. You are teaching individuals within a group setting across multiple apparatus: the Reformer, tower, mat, and chair. You set your own schedule and run your sessions your way. Any clients you bring are yours. Any clients Powerhaus sources are part of our community and remain so if the working relationship ends. Instructors in good standing may also rent the studio for private and duet sessions. Pay starts at $40 per class based on experience, flat rate, paid biweekly via direct deposit on a 1099 basis. This role is for you if: You want a studio where your comprehensive training is something you use every day. You understand the difference between a semi-private class and a group fitness session, and you teach accordingly. You want contractor autonomy inside an established, growing studio. You take continuing education seriously and your teaching reflects it. This role is not for you if: Your certification is not current or does not meet comprehensively certified standards. You lack experience teaching small group or private sessions on the full apparatus. You need high class volume to make the income work.
Who you will work with:
Our clients are primarily women who have made their practice a priority. They are consistent, they are invested, and they know the difference between an instructor who understands this work and one who is simply moving them through it.
What you bring:
Comprehensive Pilates certification, current and actively maintained. Minimum 2 years teaching private and small group sessions; full apparatus experience preferred. Working knowledge of anatomy, alignment, postural correction, and injury modifications. CPR and AED certification required. Professional liability insurance required; copy of policy due at hire.
What you will find here:
A fully equipped studio, intimate by design and high-caliber by standard. Schedule autonomy and the freedom to bring and retain your own clients. Studio rental access for private and duet sessions. Complimentary drop-in classes and open equipment access for self-practice.
How we hire:
A brief introductory conversation followed by an in-person teaching observation. Mutual fit leads to the Instructor Agreement.
