This is a ground floor opportunity. You won't be inheriting someone else's client list or fitting into an existing structure. You will be one of the first trainers to walk through these doors — and the first trainers to build something. ONYX Brands Holdings operates 6 premium fitness locations across Northeast Ohio under two brands — ONYX Gyms 24/7 and ONYX Tennis & Racquet Club. We deliver an "affordable luxury" fitness experience with 24/7 access, group fitness, certified personal training, and a community that shows up for each other. Solon is our newest Legacy Club — 20,000 sq ft of premium fitness space opening its doors June 29. Why join ONYX Solon at opening: You build your client book from day one — no competition for existing clients Grand opening energy drives the highest new member volume of any point in a club's life Ground floor hires at new ONYX locations have historically advanced the fastest You will be part of the founding team — the trainers members remember from day one What you'll do: Deliver exceptional 1:1 personal training sessions to ONYX Solon members Use the ONYX Road Map to a Healthier You — our proprietary 9-step consultation tool — to assess goals, design 12-month programs, and present PT packages Build your client book through floor pulls — approaching members, building genuine relationships, and booking first workouts through conversation Make outbound PT prospecting calls to new members and leads to book first workouts Retain your clients for 12+ months through programming, accountability, and relationship Attend team development sessions led by the Fitness Director Represent ONYX Solon professionally on the floor — energy, appearance, and attitude reflect the brand What we're looking for: Current nationally recognized PT certification — NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, ISSA, or equivalent Current CPR/AED certification — required before your first session 1+ years of personal training experience — clients, programming, and results A genuine passion for client transformation — not just training yourself Comfortable approaching members on the floor — floor pulls are part of this role Coachable and hungry — you want to build something, not just clock in Available for early mornings, evenings, and weekends — grand opening months are high energy Able to start by June 22 — one week of pre-opening onboarding before doors open What we offer: Base pay + commission on every PT package sold Free ONYX membership — 24/7 access across all 6 locations from day one A brand new facility and a member base that grows rapidly during grand opening The ONYX Road Map system — the most powerful PT consultation tool you'll use Direct mentorship from the Fitness Director Real career path — top trainers move into ATD and Fitness Director roles as ONYX expands The pride of being part of a founding team Important dates: Applications reviewed immediately — we are hiring now Target start date: June 22, 2026 — pre-opening onboarding week
