The Group Exercise - Yoga Instructor will contribute to the vision, mission and values of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation by instructing yoga classes for the overall health & well-being of JCC members and community partners. Instruct a yoga class, following the class description. Classes will consist of warm-up, conditioning phase, and cool-down phase Create and maintain a comfortable and welcome customer service environment where every member and guest is treated with dignity and respect, in a friendly, personalized manner Be prompt and arrive at least 10 minutes before class. Begin and end class on time Accurately record class participation numbers in Club Automation or as requested by community partners Ensure that yoga mats are cleaned properly, picked up and stored appropriately Will work to support an excellent experience by identifying and responding to the needs of the JCC members, guests or community partners Communicate and cooperate with colleagues, members, and JCC leadership as part of the JCC Fitness team, including attending staff meetings as needed Adhere to all JCC and departmental policies Complete all additional duties as assigned by the Wellness Manager Benefits include: Membership at the JCC/Logan Swim Club Discounted daycare and summer camp rates at the JCC Discounted rates on programming Excellent healthcare, benefits, and 403b PTO Competitive rates Requirements The ideal candidate has one or more years teaching experience. Is certified by ACE, ACSM, AFAA, or similar certifications. Group exercise instructors have current CPR/First-Aid certifications on file.
