Position Summary This is professional work teaching recreational activities to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The Recreation Instructor plays a key role in supporting individuals' physical, social, and emotional development through structured recreational programming and leisure activities. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain individuals' gross motor, fine motor, and perceptual motor skills through structured classes and leisure activities
Conduct assessments to support individualized recreational and therapeutic goals
Plan, organize, and supervise therapeutic recreational programs
Use recreation as a tool to teach cooperation, sportsmanship, and fair play
Provide safe, engaging, and healthful recreational outlets for residents
