Group Fitness Instructor The Regional Engagement Center - 4.0 Selinsgrove, PA Job Details Part-time $20 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Anatomy knowledge Program design Body mechanics Teaching Full Job Description Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Group Fitness Instructor and energize our community through engaging, motivating, and expertly led fitness classes. In this role, you will inspire participants to achieve their health goals while fostering a positive, inclusive environment. Your expertise in teaching group fitness will help create impactful workout experiences that promote wellness and community connection. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to lead diverse classes and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our regular 30 attendees. SilverSneaker style classes for one hour Monday through Friday at 10am. Duties Lead energetic group fitness classes across various formats such as cardio, strength, and flexibility sessions. Design and adapt class programs to meet the needs of different skill levels and fitness goals. Demonstrate proper exercise techniques, emphasizing safety and correct body mechanics to prevent injury. Motivate participants through positive reinforcement and energetic instruction to maximize engagement and results. Monitor participant performance during classes, providing modifications or alternative exercises as needed. Maintain a safe environment by ensuring equipment is used correctly and the workout space is clean and organized. Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and best practices in group fitness, personal training, and sports coaching. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching group fitness classes with a strong understanding of program design principles. Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics to ensure safe exercise execution. Certification in group fitness instruction from a recognized organization (e.g., SilverSneakers, ACE, NASM, ACSM) is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate a diverse group of participants. Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly while maintaining high energy levels throughout classes.
