Job Description

Certified Personal Trainer/Group Fitness Instructor We are currently hiring 2 trainers (CPT) to train the following camp times (1 trainer per block of camps listed): 8:30 am, 9:30 am and 12:00 pm (2-3 days per week) 4:30 pm, 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm camps (3 days per week) Both of these positions also include 1 Saturday per month, training camps at 7 am, 8 am and 9 am.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Certified Personal Trainer/Group Fitness Instructor:
Must hold current CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) certification from an NCCA Certified program (including but not limited to NASM, ACSM, ACE, NCSA, AFFA, or NFPT) OR have a Bachelor's Degree in an Exercise Science related field Must have at least 1 year experience in training group fitness Must hold current CPR/AED certification Passion for health, wellness, and helping others achieve their fitness goals Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, body mechanics and nutrition and ability to educate clients on proper exercise techniques and nutrition principles Ability to motivate and inspire clients of all fitness levels Excellent communication and customer service skills Experience in exercise fitness sales is a plus Practice what you preach. Our trainers are expected to be in top physical condition and live a clean, healthy lifestyle as role models for what we are teaching our members.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver pre-designed and custom workouts to groups of members and participate in the programming of 1-2 workouts per week. Ensure the safety of members by demonstrating proper body mechanics and monitoring their form during exercises and provide instruction and guidance on proper exercise techniques and form Offer alternative exercises to specific members when needed due to injury, pregnancy, etc or based on their current fitness level Motivate and inspire members to achieve their fitness goals Conduct 1:1 meetings with members to discuss their goals, create plans to help them reach their goals, educate clients on the importance of nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices and track members' progress over time utilizing various metrics, including body composition analysis Working with other team members, help to organize equipment on workout floor between camps, put away equipment at end of day, vacuum workout floor and help set up some of the equipment needed for next day's workout Participate in weekly trainer calls (1 hour) and monthly team meetings (1.5 hours). Reach out to members (via phone calls, email and text) on a weekly basis to check in/follow-up after their first visit or after absence from gym Participate/engage with members on Social Media (private page) Using a team-based approach, convert trial/promotional members to long-term members Be actively involved in our gym community, including participating in workouts and community events.
