Planning, Organization and Administration Exhibit sound time management and organizational skills. Ensure the supplies needed to operate are properly stocked. Maintain an organized and clean work station that is Member-ready. Employment Policies/Safe Work Environment Report all accidents to your supervisor immediately. Report all safety hazards to your supervisor immediately. Report any form of harassment to your supervisor immediately. Take pride in the club - report all damage or vandalism to club property. Follow all club policies and procedures as outlined in the handbook. Follow all departmental rules communicated by your supervisor. Essential Job Functions Conducts comprehensive service appointments with members, including body scans, nutritional counseling, and instruction on proper use of fitness equipment and exercise form. Designs and implements individualized fitness programs based on members' health history, goals, and fitness levels. Provides one-on-one personal training and lead engaging group sessions that foster a community atmosphere. Motivates and educates members on exercise techniques, muscle group targeting, injury prevention, and recovery strategies. Guides members through initial and progressive training in flexibility, aerobic conditioning, and strength training. Teaches scheduled group fitness classes with appropriate warm-up, workout routines, stretching, and cool-down, starting and ending sessions on time. Prepares music, equipment, and educational materials for each class or session to ensure a premium experience. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized fitness environment, ensuring all equipment meets safety standards. Monitors members during workouts, providing feedback on technique and progress while ensuring proper use of equipment. Tracks and reports member progress, adjusting programs as needed to promote continued development and engagement. Collaborates with other trainers to create and implement dynamic group training environments. Provides excellent customer service by answering questions, supporting member inquiries, and promoting a positive atmosphere. Advises members on achieving personal fitness goals and supports lifestyle change initiatives. Assists in developing new programs and services alongside the Director of Fitness to enhance the club's wellness offerings. Attends and actively participates in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education opportunities. Maintains accurate billing records, monitor attendance, and complete administrative tasks as assigned. Communicates member and facility needs to management promptly and professionally. Cleans and maintain fitness equipment and workout spaces regularly. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Fitness. Job Qualifications Certified Personal Trainer from a nationally recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA). CPR/AED certification required. Minimum 1-2 years of personal training experience, preferably in a country club, luxury gym, or wellness setting. Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse membership. Ability to teach group fitness classes and lead safe, effective, and enjoyable workouts. Highly organized, self-motivated, and team-oriented. Knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and exercise physiology. Familiarity with billing procedures and tracking client progress. Licenses and Special Requirements Current Personal Trainer Certification CPR and AED certification Physical Requirements Must be able to stand; walk; bend; and use hands to finger, handle or feel. Must be able to reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Must be able to frequently lift, climb, stoop and pull. Must be able to frequently execute repetitive motions. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to work in humid and low-level light environments. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to handle stress in a healthy and professional manner. Must be able to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner. Has the ability to learn new technologies as necessary. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations. Ability to keep information confidential and operate with honesty and integrity.
