- L•We lift up our community •O•We take ownership of our collective performance •V•We value and respect all employees •E•We empower employees to grow The Water Fitness Instructor is responsible for planning, leading, and conducting safe and engaging water fitness classes for individuals of varying fitness levels, ages, and abilities.
Flexible schedule:
hours will be set by the Aquatics Management Staff. American Red Cross CPR/AED and Standard First Aid certification required. Water Fitness Instructor certification. AEA (Aquatic Exercise Association), ACE (American Council on Exercise), ASFA (American Sports and Fitness Association) Certification, or equivalent preferred. Knowledge of City policies and procedures. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Skill in communicating effectively both orally and in writing; and Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with co-workers, the public, and elected and appointed officials. Skills in swimming, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and first aid. Current instruction techniques; current water aerobics techniques Skills in communicating effectively both orally and in writing; and Ability to be proactive in regard to safety precautions, to recognize emergencies, and to take appropriate action. Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergency situations. Ability to handle all swimmers and patrons in a professional manner. Ability to ascertain priorities and meet deadlines and objectives.
