Job Description

Group Fitness Instructor
  • Anytime Fitness Avalon Investments, LLC:
    Lake Palestine, Nacogdoches & Carthage, TX About the role
  • Part time, onsite position
  • Class times will vary depending on demand and can include morning/afternoon/evening hours
  • It can be very inconsistent at times in the personal training aspect. You will always have a constant schedule of classes to teach, but clients can come and go. This is why executing fitness consultations and consistently building relationships/marketing training is so important
  • Workout creation is a mixture of Anytime Fitness programming and your own creativity based on member needs and limitations. While we do provide a basic layout, it is important to customize workouts based on the audience and knowing when modifications will be needed.
  • Personal training hours are set independently by the trainer on their own schedule
  • Not required to be certified to teach classes, but must be working towards a certification Skills and Abilities

  • You really have to sell yourself and be very independent in this position. We will help to market you, but being a consistent friendly face in the gym goes a long way for building a client base. You will have to be proactive and consistently reach out to leads/ new sign-ups to promote your classes and training. Fitness consultations
  • this person conducts fitness consultations for new members, which include: goal setting, a body scan and fitness assessment, sample workout, and recommendation of our training programs. Coach and fitness leader
  • The classes do not run themselves. You need to be present, available for your members and have a good understanding/execution of leading multiple people at once in a safe and effective manner Results driven
  • this person drives client success through session attendance and metric tracking. They should understand how to administer body scan technology and interpret results, engage with digital coaching platforms to assist and motivate clients, and provide excellent customer service through member engagement and client accountability. This is meant to better the gym as a whole and create a great environment for our members and our clients. Being able to take feedback well and actually apply the changes is very important. Through communication and accountability, we can run a very successful group training program!
