This paid position offers a unique opportunity to combine your passion for fitness, love for animal, and community connection. As a Puppy Yoga Instructor, you will create an uplifting environment that promotes relaxation, physical activity, and joy for participants of all levels. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire others to embrace wellness while fostering a playful and compassionate atmosphere. The yoga instructor is responsible for performing yoga poses in precise alignment, using the correct terminology, and safely guiding students through the flow of the practice. For this role you will be in charge of operations Saturday and Sunday of the studio for Puppy Yoga. To ensure success as a yoga instructor, you should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to build relationships, as well as lead yoga sessions. Your passion for health and wellness, coupled with knowledge of the anatomy of the human body and physiology, will ensure success.
Yoga Instructor Responsibilities:
Conduct and lead yoga classes. Must be a dog lover. Visually assess students to determine their level of practice. Assist students to achieve precise alignment. Demonstrate practice and techniques. Motivate students with words of encouragement. Connect with students during the yoga classes through fun, intelligent sequencing. Offer training recommendations to improve the practice of yoga. Engage in administrative duties opening and closing the studio. Setting up and cleaning mats before and after puppy yoga sessions. You will need to clean up puppy pee and poop, then sanitize. Help load and unload puppies at the beginning and end of the day.
Yoga Instructor Requirements:
Yoga certification. Minimum of 200 hours of experience. CPR/First Aid certification. Education or experience in health and fitness is preferable. Business and administration skills.
