Pay:

In this role, you will lead engaging yoga classes tailored to diverse skill levels and foster a positive environment that encourages personal growth and connection. Your expertise will help participants understand and improve flexibility, strength, balance, and mental clarity through the power of yoga. You will be responsible for creating and leading engaging, inclusive, and mindful yoga classes that support participants of all experience levels. Instructors have flexibility in the styles and focus of their classes and will coordinate with the General Manager to determine class offerings that best serve the community. To ensure success as a yoga instructor, you should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for health and wellness, and knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the human body.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead well-structured group yoga classes, ensuring proper technique and safety. Perform yoga poses and sequences in proper form and alignment, using the correct terminology, and safely guide students through the flow of the practice. Possess the ability to design and demonstrate effective warm-up, build-up and cool-down stages. Connect with students during yoga classes through fun, intelligent sequencing and offer training recommendations to improve the practice of yoga. Incorporate knowledge of anatomy to modify poses for different skill levels and physical conditions. Motivate participants through clear verbal instruction, positive reinforcement, and personalized guidance during sessions. Promote a welcoming environment that encourages mindfulness, relaxation, and community building among attendees. Stay up-to-date, informed on studio policies, rules and procedures, gym-management software and studio offerings found on the website or elsewhere. Connect with students before and after class in support of their personal growth, studio growth, and BeatzNBurn initiatives. Welcome students, assist them as needed to check into class and navigate POS transactions, and perform assigned cleaning and organizational tasks to help ensure that the studio is clean and safe for other classes/activities. Contribute to a supportive and fun studio environment by upholding BeatzNBurn core values and fostering positive working relationships. Act as an in-studio ambassador for BeatzNBurn initiatives and business streams, including memberships, classes, programs and events. Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

Yoga Instructor with a nationally recognized yoga certification (e.g., Yoga Alliance RYT 200 or higher) CPR/AED Certification. If you do not have your certification, you would have 30 days to obtain it upon hiring. Excellent teaching and communication skills. Strong understanding of fitness and body mechanics. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, yoga philosophy and body mechanics relevant to yoga practice. Ability to teach diverse populations with varying fitness levels while maintaining safety standards. Passion for sharing what you love about yoga! Provide our members with enjoyable and challenging yoga classes through constructive and supportive instruction Show an interest in building the BeatzNBurn community by interacting with members and bringing more people to the yoga and other classes Cultivate an inviting and supportive atmosphere and embrace customer experience as a cornerstone of your role, engaging with visitors in a lively and warm manner. Ability to work weekday daytime hours and potentially on weekends and public holidays.
