Yoga Shala Everett is seeking passionate, community-minded yoga teachers to join our teaching team. We are a traditional yoga studio rooted in community, empowerment, and consistency. We are NOT a hot yoga studio. Classes We're Looking For Vinyasa (slow flow, creative vinyasa flow, power, fitness-focused, etc.) Hatha (traditional hatha, not Bikram style) Yin (restorative, myofascial release, etc.) Ashtanga (must practice at our Shala) Other strength and mobility modalities About You Have a consistent personal practice and desire to continue growing as a student and as a teacher Be reliable and professional Prior teaching experience and/or completion of a recognized yoga teacher training Ability to teach all levels - we don't level out our classes Willingness to collaborate with the teaching team and support the studio community Responsibilities Teach weekly class(es) in alignment with our values and methodology Arrive 15 minutes before class to prepare the space and to greet and check in students After students have left just do a quick floor sweep so the studio is ready for the next class Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment Support new students in feeling comfortable and building confidence in their practice Communicate clearly with studio management regarding scheduling, subs, and class needs Share studio information with students - you don't need to be a salesperson, but point them in the right direction Teachers are required to take at least one class/week at the Shala Compensation Class rate based on experience and class performance Additional opportunities for workshops, class series, or other special events Free membership at the studio (and discount for friends/family) Access to continuing education credits and a supportive environment to grow as a teacher and a student Our Shala thrives because of the people who values the power of community, empowering students, and consistency in practice.
