Inpatient Pharmacist $4300 Weekly

Inpatient Pharmacist (Travel Contract) - Sitka, Alaska We are seeking a licensed Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week travel contract in Sitka, Alaska . This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative healthcare team while providing high-quality inpatient pharmacy services in a hospital setting.

Schedule:

4 x 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM - 6:30 PM) Weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage required

Responsibilities:

Review medication orders for appropriateness, dosing, drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, and therapeutic outcomes. Verify and accurately dispense medications in compliance with state and federal regulations. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy. Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and expected treatment outcomes. Perform medication therapy management and chart reviews. Provide clinical drug information and education to healthcare providers. Supervise and support pharmacy technicians. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, formulary management, and medication inventory activities. Maintain accurate documentation of clinical interventions and pharmacy services.

Qualifications:

Active, unrestricted Alaska Pharmacist License (required) Pharm.

D. required (Bachelor of Pharmacy accepted if licensed prior to 2003 with qualifying hospital/ambulatory pharmacy experience) Current BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred
